Drop biscuits

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200C
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar
  3. Cut the butter into the flour until it is a coarse meal with some small pea-size pieces
  4. Using a fork, stir in the milk until evenly moistened
  5. Scoop the dough into 8-10 rough mounds and place on a greased baking sheet
  6. Bake the biscuits until just golden brown, about 15-20 minutes
  7. Serve warm or cooled
