Jalapeno cheese biscuits
Ingredients
- 120 g butter
- 120 g wholemeal flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 120 g cheddar cheese
- 1 jalapeno pepper
- 2 eggs
- 120 ml milk
Method
- Heat oven to 200C
- Grease and line baking sheet with parchment
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl
- Cut the cheese and butter into cubes. De-seed and chop the jalapeno
- Rub the butter into the flour mixture
- Add the eggs, cheese, jalapeno and milk, then mix until combined, but don’t over-knead. Add more milk if needed.
- Sprinkle flour on work surface and turn dough out
- Shape into a disc about 4 cm thick, then cut into triangles
- Place triangles on baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown
