Fuhrer Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups white sugar
• 0.5 lb butter
• 3 eggs
• 3 cups white flour
• 1.5 tsp salt
• 0.5 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 0.125 tsp ground nutmeg
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup chopped walnuts
• 3 cups sliced apple

Method

1. Heat oven to 180C
2. Grease 10" cake tin
3. Cream together butter and sugar
4. Add eggs and beat well
5. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg
6. Sift dry ingredients in to wet, then mix well
7. Stir in vanilla, walnuts, apples
8. Pour into pan and bake for ~1 hour, or until toothpick comes out clean
