Toad in the hole
Ingredients
- 4 fatty meat sausages
- 140 g plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 175 ml whole milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Large pinch of salt
Method
- Heat oven to 200C. Coat baking dish with oil
- Cook sausages in baking dish until cooked through and browned, 15-20 minutes
- In a large bowl combine flour, eggs, milk and salt to make a batter
- Pour batter over sausages and return to the oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until batter is cooked through and golden brown on top
- Serve with boiled green vegetables, gravy and mustard
